Discover how a health degree at UQ will make you a stand out graduate |
UQ St Lucia Open Day is your chance to get a feel for what it’s like to be a UQ student. At our Open Day you can speak with staff, take a campus tour and attend information sessions about studying and life at UQ. Here are some of the things to look out for on the day:
The Health Precinct
Take part in hands-on activities, games and demonstrations, including our giant operation game, blood pressure testing, bandaging tutorials and the UQ Medicine virtual reality experience. There’s also a Q&A panel at 12.30pm – ‘A day in the life of a health student’ – where current students talk about what it’s like studying health.
Information Sessions
Throughout the day there are dozens of info sessions covering all of our health programs. To see the full list of sessions across the day check out the program.
Campus Tour
Join a campus tour on foot or explore the wider campus and student accommodation on a bus tour.
Visit the UQ Centre
At our info booths in the UQ Centre you can ask as many questions as you want about programs and your career options.
UQ also has a Gatton Open Day for students interested in agriculture, agribusiness, animal studies, veterinary science, and plant science.
Experience a day in the life of a Pharmacy student at UQ. Participate in hands-on lab activities, take a guided tour of the impressive PACE facility (the home of Pharmacy at UQ), learn how a Pharmacy degree opens many doors for postgraduate study (particularly medicine) and enjoy a free BBQ lunch while you mingle with lecturers, current students, and other like-minded students. Registrations are now open.
This event is particularly for the Year 12 graduates of 2017. Once you receive your OP results in December you may wish to reconsider the order of your degree preferences - OP Results Advice Night is the perfect opportunity to discuss your study options and pathways at UQ.
